Kalamazoo Township Breaks Ground on Community Campus
In July, community members, township leaders, and project partners gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Kalamazoo Township Community Campus. The approximately $45 million, 100,000-square-foot development will bring together township offices, police services, board chambers, and shared community spaces on a new 17-acre site along Douglas Avenue. Designed to improve accessibility and centralize essential services, the campus represents a significant investment in the future of Kalamazoo Township.
AVB is proud to serve as Construction Manager for this project, working alongside Kalamazoo Township and Williams Architects throughout preconstruction and construction. Beyond creating modern facilities for township staff and residents, the campus is designed to support long-term community needs through improved operational efficiency, public engagement spaces, and room for future growth. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project that will serve Kalamazoo Township for generations to come.

Kalamazoo Youth Sports Facility Groundbreaking
The new Kalamazoo Indoor Sports Facility officially broke ground in July, marking the culmination of years of collaboration among Discover Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Sports Facilities Companies, Rockford Construction, and many other community partners. The 140,000-square-foot venue will feature basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor turf field, and flexible spaces designed to support a wide variety of athletic programs and events. The facility will serve local athletes throughout the week while also attracting regional and national tournaments to the Kalamazoo area.
Beyond athletics, the facility is expected to generate significant economic activity for the region while creating new opportunities for young people to learn, compete, and grow. AVB is proud to serve as Construction Manager on a project that will benefit athletes, families, local businesses, and the broader community for years to come.
