Project Brochure

Kalsec is the outgrowth of a rich heritage which began with the establishment of commercial mint cultivation and refining in Kalamazoo by Michigan native A.M. Todd more than 100 years ago.

The passion to continue to produce the highest quality colors, seasonings, and extracts led to the selection of AVB to construct their Paul H. Todd Research Center in 2007, equipped with the pinnacle of the day's current lab designs and functions.

AVB was selected again to construct the 8,132 SF executive office addition, which connected to the original 28,500 SF Paul H. Todd Research Center. The executive offices feature multiple enclosed offices, a board room, and several collaborative meeting/work spaces. The addition was built using reclaimed pieces of wood from the old horse barn that had to be torn down to build the new addition.
