Bogan Development chose AVB to be its construction management team for its childcare center through a partnership with the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo. The new center features an open play area, custom wood furniture and lockers, a private office, cabinet storage, and many windows to let in natural light. This new childcare center positively impacts the whole northside neighborhood in downtown Kalamazoo.
This childcare center was one piece of a mixed-use development that included two buildings with 13 housing units that will serve a portion of the low-income housing needs: two units designed to accommodate 60% Area Median Income (AMI), six units for 80% AMI, and five units are market rate.
