Fall Career Fair Tour

Throughout September, AVB representatives attended career fairs at Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, and Ferris State University, connecting with students interested in careers in construction management.

Team members spent time answering questions about the industry, discussing the variety of career paths available within construction, and sharing what a career at AVB can look like. Conversations also included internship opportunities, with applications now open for AVB's Summer 2027 Construction Internship Program.

AVB appreciates the opportunity to engage with students across Michigan and looks forward to staying connected with the students and future industry professionals met throughout the month.

AVB Participates in WMU’s CommUniverCity

AVB team members joined community and business leaders at Western Michigan University's annual CommUniverCity tailgate and football game, a longstanding tradition that celebrates the partnership between the university and the greater Kalamazoo community.

The event offered an opportunity to connect with community partners, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the collaboration that helps make Southwest Michigan a great place to live, work, and learn. Founded in 1992, CommUniverCity has brought together local businesses, organizations, and university supporters for more than three decades. Fun fact: AVB Chief Operating Officer Greg Dobson was among those involved in helping launch the tradition.

Hot Box Opens at Corner@Drake

There's something new to try at Corner@Drake! Hot Box recently celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting, becoming the latest addition to the development's growing lineup of businesses.

AVB is proud to welcome Hot Box to Corner@Drake and celebrate another milestone for the development. The opening adds to the variety of shopping and dining options available at the property and continues the momentum of growth in the area.
