AVB & Hinman Break Ground Downtown
400 Rose Street, Kalamazoo
In late August development partners AVB and The Hinman Company celebrated the groundbreaking for their exciting new mixed-use brownfield redevelopment planned in downtown Kalamazoo. This new four story building, which is scheduled for completion in 2020, is located at the corner of Rose Street and Lovell Street in Kalamazoo, directly adjacent to the Vine Neighborhood, and one block from Bronson Park and The Kalamazoo Mall. This new facility will feature 135 new studio, one bed, and two bed apartments, including 14 workforce housing units. It will also feature underground parking, a roof terrace, fitness room, and bicycle storage. The ground level street scape will be a mix of commercial space, which is available for lease, as well as ground floor apartments which will help activate the street and sidewalks. AVB Recently Completed at Western Michigan University
Just in time for the fall semester, AVB completed the first floor renovation of Western Michigan University’s Ernest Wilbur Building to create a functional space for the new Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. This 14,000 square foot renovation features collaborative common areas, a common kitchen, tech-savvy classrooms, and refreshed clinical lab space. New Businesses Coming to the Corner Shoppes@Stadium
Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza, and Chow Hound Pet Supplies are joining Trader Joe’s in the new Corner Shoppes @ Stadium. AVB is scheduled to complete all three build out’s in 2018.
Corner Shoppes @ Stadium consists of two buildings, anchored by Trader Joe's, encompassing over 33,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. The new buildings will feature excellent visibility to the entire Corner @ Drake development, including Costco and Field & Stream, with two suites still available for lease.
