Introducing AVB’s New Community
We are excited to announce our new AVB community, Turning Stone, is under construction. Located in Texas Corners, Mattawan school district, near the southeast corner of W Q Avenue and S 6th Street, this premier location is minutes from popular local restaurants, coffee shoppes, and entertainment. Turning Stone will feature 43 home sites in the first phase and community amenities including a private park and paved recreational all sports path.
The Pre-Grand Opening for this new community is in June 2019. You will have the opportunity to tour our 1st available portfolio home as well as our new on-site selections trailer, that will display our new portfolio of single family floor plans, starting in the $400,000’s.

Raising the Last Beam at the Ascension Borgess Stryker Vertical Expansion Project
AVB set the final steel beam on the 36,000 square foot vertical expansion project on top of the existing Ascension Borgess Stryker surgery center during their Topping Off ceremony. The beam was signed by hundreds of people from the hospital and the Kalamazoo community. This beam will remain exposed and visible after the project is completed, showing the incredible community support for this project.
This is a very complex project due to the logistics of building a new 36,000 square foot surgery center addition on top of the existing, fully occupied and operational, Ascension Borgess Stryker Center. The addition required reinforcement of the existing roof beams, as well as the construction of several new concrete shear walls, connecting stairways, and elevator shafts installed through the Stryker Center’s existing roof. An additional sky bridge, connecting the new addition to the main hospital, was also an added feature to this project, along with 10 large, state-of-the-art operating rooms to provide space for current and future technologies.

The Enclave townhome community in the heart of Kalamazoo is now offering two new main floor owners’ suite floor plans, the Diamond and the Emerald. Mattawan Consolidated Schools

Kalamazoo Gospel Mission
