AVB is serving as Construction Manager for the new Discover Kalamazoo KCECAD Youth Sports Complex, a 220,000-square-foot indoor sports destination located along the US-131 corridor in Kalamazoo.
Designed to attract regional and national tournaments while supporting year-round community recreation, the facility will strengthen sports tourism throughout Kalamazoo County and generate economic impact for local hotels, restaurants, and businesses.
AVB's involvement began during the project's earliest planning stages, providing conceptual budgeting, site analysis, and development expertise as Discover Kalamazoo and its partners evaluated potential locations for the facility. Following a competitive public procurement process, AVB was selected to lead construction of the project, providing continuity from early planning through project execution.
The finished facility will serve as a premier venue for youth and amateur sports, helping position Kalamazoo as a destination for tournaments and large-scale sporting events throughout the Midwest.
