Sturgis Bank partnered with AVB and Intersect Studio to transform an existing financial-services building at 801 W. Michigan Avenue into its new full-service Marshall banking center. The renovation reconfigured the existing main level and partial basement while updating the building for modern banking operations.
Work included extensive interior demolition and reconstruction; new offices, lobby and waiting areas; conference and break spaces; teller stations and custom casework; updated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; new finishes and lighting; and banking-specific security and service infrastructure. AVB also replaced the existing drive-through canopy and coordinated new teller tubes, night deposit, ATM, drive-up teller window, site concrete, asphalt and related exterior improvements.
The completed facility supported Sturgis Bank's move to 801 W. Michigan Avenue in February 2025 and expanded the bank's Marshall operation with full-service banking, drive-up banking and an ATM.
